Mberengwa hospital gets uplift

Mberengwa legislator Dr Joram Gumbo recently commissioned a hospital theatre and a doctor’s house at Masase Hospital which is set to improve health sewrvices for the rural community in his constituency.

The theatre is of a huge convenience to the people of Mberengwa West who have been struggling to access essential surgery services.

The hospital has been faced with a plethora of problems which include shortages of medical sundires and staff.

The hospital’s medical superintendent Dr Malvin Chihure said despite the challenges, the hospital has not deterred from its thrust of ensuring quality and accessible health care services.

Dr Gumbo used the constituency’s development fund to renovate the theatre and doctor’s house which was damaged by a storm over a decade ago in a move that is also set to ease staff accommodation woes at the hospital.
