08 January 2019

Manica Diamond FC has unveiled high profile signings that include former Dynamos players; Patson Jaure, Wisdom Mutasa and Peace Makaha, among a sizeable list which includes Pritchard Mpelele and Marshall Mudehwe.

The premiership debutants are leaving no stone unturned in ensuring they are competitive in the topflight by beefing up their squad with players with PSL experience.

Manica Diamond FC Chairman, Masimba Chihowa said the club is looking at adopting a strong development policy that will ensure continued premiership football in Mutare.

“There are definitely targets but they are contractual, we cannot discuss them because they are related to how every other member will be working including the players and coaches, whose contracts are performance based.

Secretary General, Sugar Chagonda also said until Sakubva is full refurbished, the Diamond Boys will be using Vhengere Stadium in Rusape.

“Our preference is to use the Sakubva stadium for our matches, that is what we want and we need to pursue that. To that effect we shall continue to engage all stakeholders, even politicians, the business community and everyone so that our dream will come to pass. However we will in the meantime use Vhengere,” he said.

Manica Diamond FC was promoted into the premiership and is the only team representing Manicaland Province this 2019 season.
